Claire remembers growing up with Sandra and Noah and Lyle, being happy, fighting with Lyle, helping Noah pick out glasses, playing with Mr. Muggles. Becoming a cheerleader. That's pretty much when life stopped being normal. But she had a happy and NORMAL childhood. Sure, her dad was gone on business a lot, or so it seemed, but that was okay. Then things got weird, and she discovered she could heal herself from anything. The rest, as they say, is history, up to a point.
After the bomb exploded, Claire, like most of her kind, went into hiding. She was forced to leave with her family to start another life. She hated it. She tried to keep her ability under wraps, secret and to herself. They lived in California for a while, where she met West. But it got blown. Then she had to move and start over again. She hated that. She hated starting over, being someone she wasn't, and not having any friends. But it was in her nature to make friends, and so she did. They moved to Nevada, where they lasted a while, until Sandra got tired of the life they were living and left. It was only Claire and Noah, and they decided to part ways, Noah taking Claire back to Midland, Texas, where she got a job as a waitress at the Burnt Toast Diner. Working as Sandra in the diner in Texas, she even had a boyfriend, a finance, Andy. She was going to marry him. But she had to leave that too. Noah came back and told her she had to leave, giving her another identity to run with. She asked Andy to elope with her, and he agreed, but she left before they could go through with it. Straight to New York, to her father, Nathan, or so she thought, whose progress and Presidency she always followed. She was horrified and sick with the way he was talking, the things he was saying. She was about to leave, and be killed, when Peter showed up and saved her.
She's been even more alone since then, but she's staying in New York, under the name Rachel Ellis, trying to keep up with what's going on and keeping track of Peter the others she knows of.
YOUR EXPERIENCE: I play in a few RPGs, mainly everyattheready and rearranged here on IJ. They're all friends-locked, though, but I can write something if you want.
